iPhone Tips - Live Text
People who know me know that I’m a devout iPhone user. From my first iPod nano, to the purchase of the insanely expensive original iPhone, I am an Apple product fan. I’m inspired by their product design, by their marketing and by their product management (Pre-Tim Cook era!). I’m going to veer off a bit for a moment to share some information that many people may not know.
In the recent iOS 15 update, a feature called live text was added. This works on any pictures, whether existing or new. Not only is this also for the iPad, but it’s also for the latest version on your Mac.
The operating system using object character recognition to pull the text off of the picture and allows you to put it onto your clipboard. This works whether you’re scanning printed text, signage on a building and even printed text for those who have reasonable penmanship! I’m also a whiteboard fan and I can’t tell you how many photos I’ve taken at the end of a brainstorming session where I’ve taken a photo of the whiteboard and then transcribed all the important bits into my notes or documents.
This has proven to be a huge time saver in all sorts of ways. Please follow us for more time saving tips and tricks!
